These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Oxford Home Study Centre website, learner platform, courses, assessments, certificates and related services. Read them before creating an account, enrolling on a course or purchasing a service. By accepting these Terms during registration or checkout, you agree to be bound by them. Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. About These Terms

These Terms apply to the website, learner platform, courses, assessments, certificates and related services supplied by Oxford Home Study Centre. Course-specific information, order confirmations and any expressly applicable course-specific terms also form part of the agreement.

Where a course-specific term conflicts with these general Terms, the course-specific term will apply to that course unless doing so would unlawfully reduce a consumer right.

2. Who We Are

The website and services are operated by OXFORD HOME STUDY CENTRE LIMITED, company number 16298768, registered office at 12 Hawkins Drive, Chafford Hundred, Grays, England, RM16 6GG.

In these Terms, “OHSC”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean OXFORD HOME STUDY CENTRE LIMITED. “You” and “your” mean the learner, purchaser or website user. “Consumer” means an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

3. Eligibility and Learner Accounts

You must provide accurate, complete and current information when registering, enrolling or placing an order. Services are primarily intended for people aged 18 or over. A person under 18 may enrol only where any permission or responsible-adult involvement required by law or by OHSC is in place.

Learner accounts are personal and must not be sold, shared or transferred.
You must not allow another person to study through your account or register using another person’s identity.
You are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for taking reasonable care of your account security.
OHSC may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary because of unauthorised use, non-payment, fraud, academic misconduct, security concerns, unlawful conduct or a breach of these Terms.

4. Course Information

The relevant course page, checkout information or other clearly identified course information may state the course content and level, access period, assessment arrangements, support included, certificate or award information, issuing or endorsing organisation, price, payment arrangements and any additional charges.

You are responsible for reviewing the information that applies to your chosen course before enrolling. Estimated study times, progression information and career-related statements are general guidance only; actual study time, progress and outcomes vary.

5. Orders and Contract Formation

Submitting an application or order does not by itself mean that OHSC has accepted it. A contract is formed when OHSC sends an enrolment or order confirmation accepting the order.

OHSC may decline an application or order before acceptance if required information is missing or inaccurate.
An order may also be declined if payment is not authorised, the course or service is unavailable, eligibility requirements are not met, fraud or misuse is suspected, or acceptance would be unlawful or impracticable.
If a paid order is not accepted, payment taken for that order will be returned, subject to any amount lawfully withheld, reversed or handled by the payment provider.

6. Free and Paid Services

Some course materials may be available without a course fee. A free course does not automatically mean that every related service is free.

Certificates, assessments, printed documents, delivery, verification, additional support or other services may carry a separate charge.
Any applicable charge will be shown before you order that service.
For paid courses, the course information will identify what is included in the price.
Withdrawal or amendment of free content does not affect any non-excludable rights relating to a separate paid service.

7. Prices and Payments

The price payable will be displayed before an order is submitted. Optional products and services are charged separately where indicated. Payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider and may also be subject to that provider’s terms.

OHSC may correct an obvious pricing or description error. If an error affects an order, OHSC may offer the service at the correct price or on the corrected basis, or cancel the affected order and return the payment received.

8. Instalment Plans

Where an instalment plan is offered, the payment schedule will be displayed before purchase. An instalment plan divides the agreed total price into scheduled payments; it is not a cancellable monthly subscription unless it is expressly described as one.

By selecting an instalment plan, you agree to pay all scheduled instalments, subject to any applicable statutory cancellation right.
If an amount remains unpaid, OHSC may contact you, retry an authorised payment method where permitted, suspend course or account access, withhold unpaid assessment or certification services, and recover an amount properly due.
Suspending access does not cancel an outstanding payment obligation.
A certificate or award may be withheld until applicable course requirements are complete and all properly due fees have been paid.

9. Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you purchase online as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days. The cancellation period normally begins on the day after the contract is formed.

To cancel, send a clear statement to info@oxfordhomestudy.com or to OXFORD HOME STUDY CENTRE LIMITED, 12 Hawkins Drive, Chafford Hundred, Grays, England, RM16 6GG. You may use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to use it.

Immediate digital content

If you ask for immediate access to digital course content during the cancellation period, OHSC may require your express consent to immediate supply and your acknowledgement that the right to cancel that digital content may be lost once supply begins.

Services started during the cancellation period

If you expressly ask for a service to begin during the cancellation period and later cancel, OHSC may deduct an amount reflecting the service supplied before cancellation where the law permits this.

10. Refunds

Eligible refunds will be processed within the period required by applicable law. After any applicable cancellation period has ended, refunds are not normally available where the course or service has been supplied as described and the learner simply changes their mind, decides not to continue, does not use the service, fails to complete the course or does not achieve a particular result.

Rights or remedies relating to faulty digital content, a materially misdescribed service or another non-excludable legal obligation remain governed by applicable law. Any separate cancellation or refund policy must be read consistently with these Terms.

11. Course Access and Changes

The applicable access period and any material completion or assessment deadline will be stated in the relevant course information. Self-paced study means that you may progress at your own pace within that access period; it does not mean permanent or lifetime access unless this is expressly stated.

OHSC may make reasonable changes to course content, tutors, assessments, delivery arrangements, technology, platform features or administrative processes for updating, correction, security, quality assurance, legal compliance or continued service delivery.

OHSC will not intentionally make a change that fundamentally alters the essential nature of a paid course without addressing any rights arising under applicable law. Access may also be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults, third-party systems or circumstances outside OHSC’s reasonable control.

12. Assessments and Academic Conduct

Submit your own work and follow the assessment instructions.
Acknowledge sources and assistance where required.
Do not plagiarise, collude or use unauthorised assistance.
Meet applicable submission requirements and cooperate with reasonable identity or authorship checks.
Use artificial intelligence tools only where the applicable course or assessment instructions permit them.

Assessment decisions may take account of the work submitted, assessment criteria, authorship concerns, suspected plagiarism or duplication, course rules and other relevant evidence. Where misconduct may have occurred, OHSC may investigate, request information or resubmission, withhold or amend a result, suspend assessment access, reject submitted work or take another proportionate action.

Where an assessment review or appeal process applies, you must follow the published procedure, grounds and deadlines. Completion of a course does not guarantee a pass, result, certificate or award.

13. Certificates and Recognition

The applicable course information will identify the certificate or award available, the issuing organisation, whether assessment is required, whether the certificate is included in the price and whether an additional charge applies.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a course or certificate is not a university degree and does not confer regulated professional status or a licence to practise.
It does not guarantee admission to another programme, professional membership, employment, promotion, immigration or visa eligibility.
Recognition may vary between employers, institutions, regulators, professional bodies and countries.

You are responsible for checking whether a course or certificate meets your intended academic, professional, employment, regulatory or immigration requirements before enrolling. OHSC may correct an inaccurate certificate and may suspend or revoke a certificate obtained through fraud, materially false information, impersonation or academic misconduct.

14. Support and Educational Information

Any tutor or learner support included with a course will be described in the relevant course information. Availability and response times may vary. Requests for reasonable adjustments should be submitted as early as possible and will be considered in accordance with applicable law.

Course content, tutor comments and learner-support communications are provided for educational purposes. They are not legal, medical, financial, investment, immigration, employment or other regulated professional advice.

15. Acceptable Use

You must use the website, platform and services lawfully and must not misuse OHSC systems, content or other users.

Do not share or transfer course access or copy and distribute protected materials without permission.
Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or platform operation, or introduce malware or harmful code.
Do not scrape or systematically extract substantial content, use the services for fraud or misconduct, harass or threaten staff, tutors or learners, or publish unlawful, defamatory or abusive material.
Do not disclose another person’s confidential or personal information without authority.

OHSC may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, the business, intellectual property or legal rights.

16. Intellectual Property

The website, learner platform, course content, assessments, videos, text, graphics, trademarks and other materials are owned by or licensed to OHSC. OHSC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable right to use relevant materials for private study.

Without written permission, you must not reproduce or republish substantial content, distribute materials, sell or commercially exploit them, remove ownership notices, or use them to create a competing course or service.
You must not upload substantial OHSC materials to a public or third-party AI platform, use them to train an AI model, or publish them through a public file-sharing service.

You retain ownership of original work submitted by you. You give OHSC permission to use submitted work where reasonably required for assessment, moderation, authorship review, quality assurance, complaints, appeals, record keeping and course administration.

17. Reviews and User Content

Reviews, feedback and other content you submit must relate to a genuine interaction or experience, be accurate to the best of your knowledge, comply with applicable law, and avoid defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, spam, unauthorised advertising, confidential or improperly disclosed personal information.

OHSC may moderate, reject or remove content that breaches these Terms, applicable law or relevant platform requirements. By submitting content for public display, you grant OHSC a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display and format it in connection with OHSC services.

18. Suspension and Termination

OHSC may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, account sharing, misuse, fraud, academic misconduct, abusive behaviour, security concerns, unlawful activity or a material breach of these Terms.

Where appropriate, OHSC may give notice or an opportunity to address the issue, but it may act immediately where necessary to prevent loss, harm, fraud, unlawful activity, serious misconduct or a security threat. Suspension or termination does not remove payment obligations or other rights that arose before it took effect.

19. Events Outside Our Control

OHSC is not liable for delay, interruption or failure caused by circumstances genuinely outside its reasonable control, which may include widespread internet or telecommunications failure, external infrastructure failure, cyberattack, hosting or platform failure, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, war or civil disturbance, industrial action, government action or similar events.

Nothing in this section excludes a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to that principle, OHSC is not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed; loss caused by your breach, inaccurate information, device or internet problems, failure to follow instructions or protect your account; circumstances outside OHSC’s reasonable control; reliance on educational information as professional advice; or a course or certificate not being accepted by a particular employer, institution, professional body, regulator or country.

Where a service is purchased or used for business purposes, OHSC is not liable for business loss such as lost profit, revenue, contracts, anticipated savings, opportunity, data, goodwill or business interruption, to the extent permitted by law.

OHSC does not guarantee uninterrupted access, completion within a particular time, success in an assessment, a particular grade, academic progression, employment, promotion, professional recognition, regulatory approval, immigration or visa eligibility, business success or any financial outcome.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

21. Organisational Purchases

Where an employer, school or another organisation purchases a course or service, separate organisational, sponsored-learning or business terms may apply. The purchasing organisation is responsible for providing accurate learner information, identifying authorised learners, paying agreed fees and informing learners of any agreed reporting arrangements.

Consumer cancellation rights apply only where the purchaser is acting as a consumer. Where separate organisational terms apply, they prevail in relation to that purchase.

22. Privacy

Personal information is processed in accordance with the OHSC Privacy Notice. Cookies and similar technologies are addressed through the applicable cookie notice or preference information.

23. Changes to These Terms

OHSC may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms applying to an existing paid order will normally be those accepted when the contract was formed, except where a change is required by law, required for security, required for continued service operation or agreed with you.

24. General Provisions

These Terms, together with the applicable course information, order confirmation and any expressly applicable course-specific terms, form the agreement between you and OHSC.

You may not transfer your account, course place or contractual rights without OHSC’s written agreement. OHSC may transfer its rights or obligations as part of a business sale, reorganisation or service transfer, provided that any non-excludable rights remain unaffected.

If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right. No third party may enforce these Terms unless the law provides otherwise.

25. Governing Law and Courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. A consumer living in another part of the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where they live. A consumer outside the United Kingdom may also have mandatory rights under the law applying in their country of residence.
