This three-unit Travel and Tourism Course introduces the contemporary travel and tourism industry, providing candidates with detailed insights into how the modern industry functions and the its various core service providers. Candidates are also guided through the fundamentals of essential travel and tourism marketing, along with how to create effective and complete tourism products/packages.
This online tourism Course consists of the following three units:
Introductory course unit provides candidates with an essential overview of the contemporary travel and tourism industry. A variety of different types of tourism are explored in-depth, along with the recent evolution of the travel and tourism industry and how various factors can affect the perceived value of specific destinations.
Course content in the second unit centres on the most important tourism services and products offered by contemporary service providers. The roles and functions of established tour operators are discussed, along with a variety of different travel and tourism packages, crucial destination considerations and the critical elements of the effective and successful tourism product/package.
In the third and final course unit, candidates explore the fundamentals of marketing from the perspective of a working travel and tourism service provider. The core elements of the effective marketing strategy are dissected and explored, along with the role and value of market research, tourism industry promotional activities and techniques for accurately monitoring and managing the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
