This social media marketing course, is delivered over four in-depth modules:
Module 1 – What is Social Media?
Opening the course, Module 1 outlines what exactly social media is and why it has such incredible power and relevance in the modern marketing mix. Candidates explore the core specifics of the marketing mix in general, along with effective approaches to Profiles, Propagation, Production, Participation and Progress – aka the ‘Five Ps’ of social media marketing.
Module 2 – Developing a Social Media Plan
The second course module focuses more specifically on how to develop a workable social media plan, further clarifying the role and key responsibilities of social media professionals. Candidates are guided through the fundamentals of building an online presence and expanding reach/authority, along with a series of effective competitor-analysis strategies and the basics of social media marketing budgets.
Module 3 – Building Your Social Media Team
Course content in the following unit centres on building and managing social media teams. Problem identification and the importance of consistent analysis of key social media metrics enter the discussion, along with how/why social media trends must be acknowledged and how to work with the larger social media community in general.
Module 4 – Using Social Media for Marketing Plans
Bringing the course to a close, Module 4 introduces candidates to a series of contemporary social media services – dissecting and discussing each at length. The use of speciality sites is also brought into conversation, along with implementation of social media marketing plans and how blogging can be used to enhance a brand’s reputation, authority and relevance.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units you have completed as part of your course).
The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards’ Quality Licence Scheme. This means that OHSC has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet certain quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future.
