One of the most important and powerful elements of the modern marketing mix, telemarketing plays a vital role in contemporary business. As one of very few approaches to marketing that involve brand representatives talking directly with clients and in real-time, the potential for effective telemarketing as a sales tool is near-infinite. What makes telemarketing all the more relevant from a 21st century perspective is the way in which almost every consumer now carries a mobile telephone at all times. For the first time in history, directly reaching out to any person at any time and with any message at all is 100% possible.
This online telemarketing course, offers the perfect foundation upon which to begin an exploration of high-level sales and marketing from a contemporary corporate perspective. Whether looking to advance an existing career or set out in a brand new direction, this concise yet comprehensive course covers all the skills, knowledge and industry insights required to take the next crucial step forward.
Course content on telemarketing courses, begins by providing candidates with a broad overview of verbal communication techniques in general, followed by an introduction to professional listening skills, script development and the essentials of pre-call planning. Ultimately, successful candidates benefit from the highly-valued skills and knowledge required to succeed as professionally-qualified telesales workers, or pursue supervisory positions.
This telemarketing course online, is delivered over five intensive modules:
Module 1 – Verbal Communication
In the opening course module, candidates are provided with a broad outline of verbal communication in general and its relevance in the modern marketing mix. Along with making the best possible first impression with inbound and outbound sales calls, course content explores each of the ‘Four Es’ of strong voice calling - Expressive, Enunciate, Engage, Energize.
Module2 – Exceptional Things About Telephone Sales
The following module focuses more closely on the core elements of effective telephone sales, along with what it is about telesales that holds so much power and potential from a modern business perspective. Candidates explore a series of techniques for building rapport, successfully negotiating with customers, remembering key names, building mutual positivity and more.
Module3 – Active Listening Skills
Course content in the third module brings the art of active listening into the equation, guiding candidates through the importance and value of ‘listening’ over ‘hearing’ during sales calls. Analytical listening skills are introduced and explored, along with how to determine the most appropriate questions to ask and when/how to ask them.
Module4 – Developing Your Script
Script development follows as the primary core focus of Module 4, incorporating an in-depth analysis of what makes an effective script, how to plan/pen a strong script and the importance of continually refining and modifying scripts to enhance effectiveness. Candidates also explore a range of strategies for increasing call efficiency.
Module5 – Pre-Call Planning
Bringing the course to a close, Module 5 introduces the concept of pre-call planning and outlines why it is of such importance to strategically plan an approach prior to making or receiving telesales calls. Along with learning how to handle objections and generate interest, candidates explore call-back and follow-up techniques and a series of key insights for maximising sale-closure rates.
