Module 1 – The Fundamentals of Finance
Commencing the course, Module 1 introduces candidates to the most important fundamentals of finance from a contemporary corporate perspective. The primary responsibilities and duties of those involved in professional budget planning are outlined and explored, along with a series of associated challenges and an exploration of the accounting cycle.
Module 2 – Budget Planning Basics
Course Module 2 follows with an in-depth discussion of essential budget planning basics. Along with a deeper exploration of the business budgeting process in general, candidates are introduced to various business budget types, budget definitions and the core elements/mechanics of the contemporary corporate budget.
Module 3 – Monitoring and Managing Budgets
The third course module takes things one step further from the planning process to discuss professional techniques and strategies for monitoring and managing business budgets. A broad definition and exploration of the importance of ratio analysis is provided, along with how to go about successfully pitching a business budget proposal.
Module 4 – Comparing Investment Opportunities
In the closing module, focus shifts to the comparison and consideration of viable investment opportunities from a modern business perspective. Along with the importance of strategic decision making, candidates investigate potential ROI evaluation techniques, effective cost-benefit analysis techniques and ISO 9001:2008.
