Module 1 – The Fundamentals of Business Process Management

The course begins by guiding candidates through the most important core elements and fundamentals of contemporary business process management.  Along with a brief outline of the recent history and evolution of process management, candidates are provided with an insightful introduction to the enterprise content management model and professional business analysis.

Module 2 – The Vision Phase

Course Module 2 focuses specifically on the ‘Vision’ phase in respect to contemporary process management.  Key concepts explored and discussed include the definition of vision, the creation of a vision, effectively sharing/exploring a vision and how shared vision can ultimately yield superior results.

Module 3 – The Design Phase

Candidates are then introduced to the ‘Design’ phase in Module 3, which incorporates an exploration of information-gathering techniques, effective flow chart use and the role of the process map.  Course content also discusses current and future process-determining techniques.

Module 4 – The Modelling Phase

The following course module moves onto the ‘Modelling’ phase, which includes an investigation into the core specifics and benefits of ‘what-if’ analysis.  Design-testing is also introduced and discussed, along with the benefits of interactive design and an exploration of breakdown modelling.

Module 5 – The Execution Phase

Process implementation and the automation of processes represent the primary core topics of Module 5, in which candidates dissect the ‘Execution’ phase.  Along with workflow engine implementation, candidates are introduced to the key steps involved in process-automation and the benefits/disadvantages of automating processes.

Module 6 – The Monitoring Phase

Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) represents the central theme in Module 6, which guides candidates through the specifics of the ‘Monitoring’ phase.  The concept of process mining is discussed at length, along with the role and importance of the balanced scorecard.

Module 7 – The Optimising Phase

Closing the course, the ‘Optimising’ phase is broken down and investigated in Module 7.  Along with a comprehensive discussion of the six steps of effective business process improvement, candidates study the fundamentals of Six Sigma, lean process improvement and more.

Course Accreditation

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievementfrom ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
