Our exclusive Level 1 Accounting Certificate Programs provide an introductory overview of corporate accountancy and financial management. Course content is distributed over three engaging modules as follows:
Unit 1: Accounting Basics
The course begins with a detailed introduction to the basics of accountancy, in which candidates are familiarised with the objectives, advantages and limitations of accountancy in a business setting. A breakdown of the accountancy cycle is studied, alongside the component steps in the accountancy process, the consequences of ineffective accountancy and more.
Unit 2: Accountants’ Roles and Responsibilities
Course module two turns attention to accountancy personnel, along with the roles and responsibilities of those who work in corporate accountancy. Learners also study the concepts of credit and debit, alongside essential accounting terminology and the typical hierarchy within an accountancy team.
Unit 3: Key Financial Reports
Concluding the course, module three provides a detailed overview of some of the most important financial reports in an accountancy setting. Examples of which include profit and loss reports, cash flow statements, journals, business ledgers and other subsidiary books. How to effectively analyse key financial reports is also discussed in-depth.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Quality Licence Scheme and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
