Unit 1 - Defining, Evaluating and Managing Teams
The course begins with a broad exploration of the functions, benefits and challenges associated with team structures in the workplace, along with the basics of effective team management. Candidates explore some of the most common roles and responsibilities in team leadership, along with the business-wide benefits of an efficient workforce.
Unit 2 - Managing a Team’s Talent and Performance
An exploration of workforce performance management follows in the second unit, which also discusses the importance of identifying and nurturing talent wherever possible. Learners explore the advantages of encouraging team members to grow, evolve and ultimately achieve their true potential.
Unit 3 - Assessing Employee Performance and Managing Workplace Efficiency
The art of effectively assessing employee performance is examined in unit three, in which candidates are presented with a breakdown of the employee performance review and a series of common performance-related challenges. The role of the team manager in maximising general workplace efficiency is also discussed.
Unit 4 - Motivating Employees
Motivational theory is introduced and explored in unit four, which focuses heavily on the correlation between motivation in the workplace and workforce performance. Helpful tips and techniques for effective incentivisation are discussed, along with how to identify motivational factors and the importance of proactively addressing demotivation.
Unit 5 - Managing a Virtual Team
In the fifth and final unit, candidates are presented with the unique benefits of deploying and overseeing virtual teams, along with several key challenges inherent with remote workplace supervision. Key technological issues and challenges are also discussed, along with how to optimise employee performance when managing a virtual team.
