Course Content

This Project Management short course consists of the following three units:

Unit 1 – Defining Projects and Project Management

The first unit provides candidates with a broad overview of both projects and project management, defining each and establishing their importance/value.  The role of the project manager is investigated in-depth, along with a breakdown of the project life cycle and each of the most critical project stages.

Unit 2 – Pitching a Project

Course Unit 2 focuses on how to successfully pitch (or sell) a project to those who would be responsible for commissioning it.  Course content covers the establishing of clear and accurate project goals, creating high-impact target charts and an exploration of the all-important vision process.

Unit 3 – Preparing your Project

In the third and final unit, candidates are guided through the fundamentals of project preparation and planning. Key subtopics introduced include accurate schedule and cost estimations, creating a professional statement of work, communication planning, working with stakeholders and more.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units you have completed as part of the course).
