Course Content

This short management course consists of the following three units:

Unit 1 - Understanding Management and Leadership

The course begins by guiding candidates through the fundamentals of management and leadership, discussing the most important differences between the two and how they are interconnected.  A variety of common challenges faced by those in leadership roles are also discussed, along with a breakdown of the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats matrix – aka SWOT analysis.

Unit 2 - Managing Resources

Course Unit 2 concentrates on essential resource management considerations and strategies, from the perspective of a working business manager.  Candidates explore and discuss the benefits of efficient resource management, along with a variety of common resource management challenges and an overview of workable resource management processes.

Unit 3 - Managing Time, Stress and Crises

Bringing the course to a close, Unit 3 shifts focus to self-management and continuous improvement.  Course content covers a variety of highly useful time management techniques and strategies, along with how to effectively cope with stress in a position of responsibility and the basics of crisis management.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement by ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units you have completed as part of the course).
