This Leadership Skills Course online, has been designed for those looking to begin or advance dynamic and rewarding careers in largely any business sector. Over the course of six intensive modules, of this online leadership course, candidates are gradually guided through the duties, disciplines and day-to-day challenges the team leader encounters. This online leadership skills training, is delivered over six in-depth modules:
Module 1 – Effective Leadership
The course begins with a comprehensive overview of leadership itself as a concept – specifically how leaders differ from managers/supervisors. Candidates explore the centred leadership model, a variety of essential planning stages/elements, the duties of the contemporary team leader and why the role is of such a value in a modern business setting.
Module 2 – The Situational Leadership Model
Course content in Module 2 introduces the fascinating situational leadership model. Candidates explore the theory that no specific type of leadership is comprehensively ‘better’ than any other, as what works in one context/setting may not in fact be appropriate or workable elsewhere.
Module 3 – Developing a High-Performing Team
In the third course module, focus shifts to a series of strategies and key stages involved in developing high-performance teams. Critical subtopics introduced include a variety of common team development challenges, the benefits and drawbacks of working teams, the importance of ongoing coaching/development and more.
Module 4 – Communication Skills
The role and importance of high-quality and consistent communication skills follows in Module 4. Along with an exploration of the communication process in a modern business team setting, course content outlines several effective probing techniques, why team leaders must also be outstanding listeners and how a variety of barriers/variables can present communication challenges.
Module 5 – Motivating Employees
Motivational theory is explored at length in the fifth course module, which primarily focuses on the value of effective and ongoing employee motivation. Candidates discuss motivator identification techniques, strategies for creating a generally motivated working culture and how the team leader plays a direct role in all aspects of employee motivation.
Module 6 - Dealing with Conflict
Closing the course, Module 6 focuses on conflict resolution and how to effectively deal with conflict from the perspective of a team leader. Candidates explore a wide variety of common disciplinary issues, the importance of approaching conflict in a structured/organised manner and generally how to address and ideally prevent conflict within the team.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievementby ABC Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details of all the units you have completed as part of your course).
