Module 2 – Project Management and Administration
The second course module focuses primarily on the three most important phases of any construction project - Initiation, Execution and Control. Module 3 – Construction Cost Estimating
The importance of accurate estimating of costs is discussed and explored in-depth in Module 3. Course content outlines the way in which a variety of external and internal influences/pressures can affect project budgets and costs, along with how to go about initial estimating processes and subsequent project budgeting.
Module 4 – Site Organization
The logistics of organising and controlling the site itself represents the primary core focus of Module 4. A wide variety of associated considerations and challenges are discussed, including equipment movement and storage, materials handling and storage, accommodation, essential site access and more.
Module 5 – Material Management
A more intensive exploration of professional material management follows in Module 5, which introduces candidates to integrated materials management strategies and associated challenges. Along with effective and efficient approaches to material management, course content outlines how the success and efficiency of building projects in general can be affected by material management practices.
Module 6 – Human Resource Management
Bringing the course to a conclusion, the final module explores the most important resources of all in contemporary construction – human resources. Course content guides candidates through an introduction to key personnel and their respective duties, along with efficient human resource deployment, strategies for enhancing employee retention, ongoing training programs, initial employee induction and the basics of recruitment.
