Module 5 - Site Organisation

The following course module guides candidates through a series of important specifics with regard to cite organisation.  A variety of important subtopics are introduced including electricity and water provision, movement of plant, tools and equipment storage, general material storage and access, boundary/fencing options, site accommodation and more.

Module 6 - Planning for Equipment

Module 7 - Equipment Management

Module 8 - Material Management

Module 9 - Purchase and Storage Management

A series of critical purchase and storage management insights follow in Module 9, in which candidates explore several warehousing basics, contemporary site storage strategies and systems, preservation of stored materials and a number of key material buying systems.

Module 10 - Specialised Buying and Vendor Management

The tenth course module guides candidates through specialised buying and vendor management, covering a variety of subtopics including ISO 9000, codification, process documentation and the learning cycle. The effect/impact of modern IT systems on a variety of site management tasks is also explored.

Module 11 - Quality Controlling During Construction

Course content in Module 11 provides candidates with a detailed introduction to both the importance of quality control and a variety of key strategies for building and maintaining high quality standards.  Quality control is considered with regard to internal site operations, external contractors, suppliers and other project contributors.

Module 12 - Human Resource Management

An essential introduction to human resource management follows in Module 12, which incorporates an overview of effective organisation, deployment and management of key human resources.  The role of the construction manager in HR is investigated, along with a variety of people-management skills and related HR strategies.

Module 13 - Legal Aspects of Contract
